The Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship visited Oliana, Spain, for round two, where the stunning Catalan countryside provided a demanding and rewarding challenge for all competitors.

Here are just some of the highlights from the GP of Spain…

Akrapovič Super Test goes LIVE with Pirineus TV

Thanks to Pirineus TV, EnduroGP fans enjoyed three hours of live broadcasting from Friday’s Akrapovič Super Test. The Catalan broadcaster delivered a full production of race coverage, live commentary, behind-the-scenes highlights and analysis. In addition to being broadcast on Pirineus TV, the event was also streamed live on our EnduroGP YouTube channel. If you missed the action, be sure to check it out, along with our 26-minute highlights of round one, plus much more.

Debut EnduroGP podium for Bernardini

What a performance! Day two at the GP of Spain marked a debut EnduroGP podium for Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team’s Samuele Bernardini. Since switching to the Enduro1 category for 2025, the Italian has really come on strong. He built on a pair of Enduro1 runner-up results at round one to claim third in EnduroGP on Sunday in Oliana. Top job, Bernardini!

The rise of Morgan Lesiardo

Triumph Italia Racing’s Morgan Lesiardo was a rider who caught our eye in Spain. The Italian was on a charge both days in Oliana. Another rider who’s switched to Enduro1 for 2025, Morgan has certainly upped his game. The Italian was not just the best-placed Triumph rider each day, but also held third in EnduroGP as they exited the penultimate ACERBIS Cross Test on day two, before eventually taking fifth. With the rise of Italians Bernardini and Lesiardo in Spain, it’s great to see new names challenging for the overall podium.

An emotional farewell for Betriu

Where better to call time on your professional racing career than at your home round! That was the case for WP Eric Auge’s Jaume Betriu. Living in the town next to Oliana, Betriu is as local as it gets. Racing the trails he grew up on, the Spaniard had a wealth of support throughout the weekend. Accepting a role to become more involved with the RFME Spanish Federation, while remaining involved with WP Eric Auge, Betriu won’t be straying far from the paddock.

Shop for EnduroGP merch online

For all fans of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship, we are pleased to announce that our 2025 merchandise shop is now available online. From t-shirts to hoodies, raincoats, caps, coffee mugs and even umbrellas, there is something to delight every EnduroGP supporter out there.

Axel Semb returns to winning ways

A year since his last race win, Fantic Factory Racing Team’s Axel Semb made it two Junior class wins in Spain. The young Swede was delighted to return to the top step of the podium after a difficult time. In 2024, Axel won three of the four opening race days, but suffered a run of bad luck thereafter that ultimately took him until now to recover. With these wins, Semb now leads the Junior class standings heading into his home round at the Polisport GP of Sweden.

Youth champ makes presence felt in Junior class

TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Manuel Verzeroli secured his debut Junior class podium in Spain. The 2024 FIM Youth Enduro World Champion has rapidly shown he’s adapted well to his new category, team and machinery for 2025, and looks stronger with every outing. As the sixth different Junior rider to stand on the podium so far this year, Verzeroli heads to Sweden in a three-way tie for fourth in the standings.

Sickness hits Kyron Bacon

After his double Junior class victory at the season opener GP of Portugal, we were surprised to see MGR Kawasaki’s Kyron Bacon off his usual pace in Spain. As it turned out, the young Tasmanian was battling illness leading into round two and just wasn’t his former self. Toughing it out for seventh on day one, we hope to see him back on form for Sweden.

Congrats, Moto Club Segre!

Much respect is due to Moto Club Segre for organising round two of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship. Despite having to react to adverse weather conditions throughout Saturday night and into Sunday morning, they still delivered a Grand Prix that tested the very best enduro riders in the world. With all special tests located close to the town, it was also quite special to have the ACERBIS Cross Test and Akrapovič Super Test adjacent to the paddock. With Sunday’s racing boiling down to a winner-takes-all scenario on the final Cross Test, the atmosphere was fantastic as Josep Garcia (KTM) and Andrea Verona (GASGAS) went head-to-head for the win.

EnduroGP welcomes Spanish National Championship

After the success of the FIM Europe Enduro European Championship joining EnduroGP at round one in Portugal, the GP of Spain was supported by the Spanish National Championship. With national riders like Josep Garcia (KTM), Jaume Betriu (KTM) and Marc Sans (GASGAS) at the sharp end of EnduroGP, it also gave the opportunity for many others to try a world championship round out first hand. The extra contingent of riders created a great atmosphere within the paddock too.

The Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship now looks forward to the Polisport GP of Sweden for round three in Skövde, on May 23-25.
