With 2021 E3 runner-up Jaume Betriu and former Enduro Junior 2 champion Enric Francisco amongst their ranks, the WP Eric Augé team has grown to a 10-rider squad to compete in the 2022 FIM EnduroGP World Championship.
Europe’s biggest WP Suspension distributor, Eric Augé, has presented his team for the 2022 FIM Enduro World Championship, which will have riders competing in Youth 125, Enduro Junior and EnduroGP classes.
Here is the official press release from the WP Eric Augé team:
After a 2021 season in which WP Eric Augé burst onto the enduro world elite with his new sports project, this year the suspension specialist from Oliana (Spain) wants to establish himself among the reference structures with a line-up of riders with promising additions.
The WP Eric Augé program is one of the most complete and attractive for any enduro rider. The team owns an MX circuit, Supertest, and has access to various especial test that allow all their riders to train in a group on the different aspects of enduro just a few minutes from the headquarters.
The structure will present a total of 10 riders. Experience and youth are once again in perfect balance, creating a very competitive “mix” with the potential to opt for several of the titles.
In the Enduro 3 category there are important news, the current Spanish Champion and E3 World Runner-up, Jaume Betriu will be a full-time WP Eric Augé rider in 2022. He will participate in the Spanish Championship and the World Championship with the aim of fighting for both titles.
Enric Francisco will race with Betriu at the E3 class in the Spanish Championship, both on KTM EXC-F 500 bikes. In the World Championship Enric will race in Junior 2, starting as one of the favorites for a title that he was already claimed in 2019.
Adrià Sánchez will step up to the senior classes at the Spanish Championship. He will race the E1 class at a national level while fighting for Junior 1 glory at the Enduro World Championship.
The team will have a strong Junior squad for the Spanish Championship with four riders. The Cristobal Solá and Adrià Mesas will fight to be at the top places in their second year with the WP Eric Augé team while newcomers Luciano Robledo and Luciano Bellone will focus in gaining experience and progressing as riders.
In Junior 125cc, Alex Puey and Lluis Gonfaus will once again be in the hunt for the title with Venezuelan Manuel Fumero as a third rider.
