Vice E2 Champion in 2019, Italy’s Alex SALVINI (Honda) announced via his social networks that he was already drawing a line under the 2020 season after a nasty shoulder injury.

Indeed, “Rocky” SALVINI was forced to retire from his home race – the Italian Grand Prix – despite a fairly solid Acerbis French Grand Prix (two 5th places) the week before.
The 2013 E2 World Champion unfortunately fell in training a few days before the start of the season and dislocated the same shoulder as last season on his heroic Greece-Italy tour.
Over the weekend, the Italian announced on social media that he had decided to withdraw completely from the FIM Borilli EnduroGP World Championship for the 2020 season …

Alex SALVINI : “It’s right to try, it’s right to do all you can to ride, but at some point you have to be smart enough to understand when it’s right to stop! I tried with all my might because the Italian GP is something unique and special, but unfortunately for me it ends here! My shoulder does not allow me to continue and move forward so it would just be dangerous. I am very sorry not only for myself but also for all my guys from the Sembenini Motorsport team, my sponsors who did everything to make this GP special and I am very sorry for all the fans who are here or at home! I’m sorry, but see you next year!”
