While Beta Factory and Honda RedMoto have shaken up the off-season with new, big name signings, Sherco Factory have taken a different approach. The Franco-Spanish firm have opted for consistency, by renewing the contract of one of its current riders for an extra 2 seasons…
A few days ago, Théo ESPINASSE (F) announced on his social media that he had signed again with his current team, Sherco.
The Junior Vice-World Champion should once again ride in the Under 23 category with one goal in mind; the title! Prevented from getting close in 2019 by Andrea VERONA (I – TM), the Frenchman will also have to work hard in 2020 with riders of the caliber of Wil RUPRECHT (AUS), Ruy BARBOSA (CL), Enric FRANCISCO (E) and Roni KYTÖNEN (SF).
ESPINASSE will also have to do battle with his team-mate, the 2019 Youth World Champion, Hamish MACDONALD (NZ), who intends to follow the path of riders such as VERONA, MCCANNEY and REDONDI who have all won a Junior title after being Youth champions.
Also note the addition of the Czech Republic’s Krystof KOUBLE, who form part of Sherco CH Racing’s satellite team. Team Manager Fabrizio Azzalin certainly has a lot of talent in his team for 2020!
So, it seems that for this off-season, Sherco Factory have gone down the ‘continuation’ route, meaning the team is largely unchanged for the forthcoming season. And who can blame them…
